Introduction to Curriculum

Holy Spirit Catholic School is a small, family-oriented school. Our classrooms are multi-age classrooms with two grades in each room. Grades are grouped as Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten, 1 & 2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6, and 7 & 8. Each classroom contains no more than twenty students. A small school, our environment preserves the familial, faith-centered atmosphere of the school and fosters a stronger sense of mutual commitment between the staff and families. Students learn from one another in ways not possible in larger classroom settings.

In a split-grade classroom system a student will have the same teacher for two years. This is called “looping.” Some curriculum is alternated bi-yearly so that students have a complete academic experience.
