Grade 5 & 6 Homeroom Teacher
Science and Math Teacher for Grades 5 – 8
From a young age I have had a passion for animals, the outdoors and all of God’s amazing creations. Initially, I started my college career as a pre-vet major, but soon realized my true calling was to mentor and teach children. Already having a strong educational background in Science and Math led naturally to that being my teaching focus. I graduated from MSU with an Animal Science and Agriscience degree as well as a teaching certificate in secondary science.
I first began teaching at a public high school in Indiana. I spent my first five teaching years in Indiana teaching a variety of science classes including: biology, geology, integrated chemistry & physics, environmental science, as well as middle school science. With family being extremely important to both my husband and I, we made the decision to return to Michigan. I began teaching the fifth through eighth grade students at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic School mathematics, science, and social studies in 2015.
I am incredibly excited to continue my passion for teaching and helping students succeed at Holy Spirit School this school year. I am blessed to be able to work in a Catholic School environment and be able to mentor students in a path to a virtuous life.
After school and on the weekends, I enjoy riding, training and competing with my horse. In addition to horse activities I love to read, play board games, and enjoy spending time with my family.
