Our History

Holy Spirit Catholic School was opened in 2002 under the loving guidance of the pastor Fr. William Thomas and the Bishop of Lansing, Rev. Carl Mengeling.  We started with portable classrooms on our beautiful 37 acre property and had just 14 students that first year. Mrs. Mary McDonald was the PK/K teacher,  Miss Wilson and Mrs. Rooney were the elementary teachers, Fr. Thomas was principal.  Mrs. Anna Loewe became the first permanent principal of our school in 2004.

We steadily grew and with the support of our parish family constructed our beautiful new 10,000 sq ft school building in 2014.  We moved into our new school over Christmas break 2014 and  Bishop Earl Boyea blessed our school on January 10, 2015. The new school building will provide a safe permanent home for many years to come.

Mrs. Christine Blandino became our third principal in July 2017.  We welcome her to the Holy Spirit School family and look forward to her leadership.

Fr. John Rocus has been pastor of Holy Spirit since 2007 and shepherds our parish of 405 registered families .  Follow the link on our homepage for more information about our parish.
